Sitting with Coco Bohlmann, owner of Coco Hair Salon, we find her relaxing in her salon space offering us a cookie and cup of coffee. We feel like she is welcoming us into her home; "I hope to bring you comfort, and luxury; and I treat you like family because to me, you are family."
Relaxing into the interview, Coco's eyes light up when asked about her career, "I just love hair," Coco says. "I've been a stylist over 16 years and I have trained in New York, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, and Chicago. It's important to me to be as knowledgeable as possible on hair trends and techniques so I can bring my clients the very best, right here at home."
She's closely partnered with Wella hair color and styling products over the past 16 years. When asked why, her response is passionate. "Wella gives me the ability to bring my clients the newest trends, and the classic beauty teachings of the past." She continues, "I love to give my clients something special whether it be a great head massage to finding the perfect hair color shade, or giving them a head turning style that brings out their own attractiveness. Wella hair education and attending the Americas Beauty Show each year has given me the opportunity to stay current." Coco Hair Salon also offers other lines for sale including Moroccan Oil and others.
Ask her about her philosophy, and she gets giddy with excitement, "I am blessed because every day I love my job. My clients are family and what I do enhances their natural beauty. How lucky am I?"
